Director of Ring ID on two-day remand

Police have remanded the director of Ring ID in a two-day remand in a case filed under the Digital Security Act at Bhatara police station in the capital. The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury granted the remand on Saturday (October 2nd). On the same day, the investigating officer of the case, CID sub-inspector Sohail Rana, produced the accused in court and applied for a five-day remand. On the other hand, the lawyer of the accused applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand. After hearing both sides, the court granted a two-day remand to the accused. Ring ID director Saiful Islam was arrested on Friday (October 1st) in the capital's Gulshan area after he started his e-commerce business as a social media platform. Saiful was arrested on September 30 in a case filed under the Digital Security Act by a person alleging that he had been deceived by investing in Ring ID.
